The 102-acre University Park in the Magnolia Historic District of Stockton was designed by developer Grupe Commercial Company to project a message of hope and peace. The Stockton garden is part of the California-based non-profit International World Peace Rose Garden project, the brainchild of TJ David & Sylvia Villalobos, whose goal is to create artistically designed rose gardens that help transform ordinary community spaces into vibrant, beautiful places for peace.
